Sadly after five years Clive The T5 has to go! Our young family has now outgrown him!
53 plate first registered 2004, Euro IV (LEZ compliant) SWB, 103BHP (remapped to 130BHP), 1.9 TDI, 116,000 miles, good runner, no faults at all. Original radio and CD player. It has 11 months MOT.
I've maintained the van well over 5.5 years, lots of receipts to show what we've spent money on. I've always put Shell V-power in to get the best performance. It gives me 42MPG at 60mph on the motorway.
6 seat belts, sleeps five (two adults and three children), pop-top roof, Epi 2 hob cooker and grill, fridge with small freezer section, 240v mains hook up - with 6 sockets. 2 internal lights, speakers in the rear, lots of storage space, bed memory foam and original VW fabric in good condition. With a Rotating table.
All seat, bed and curtain fabric is super clean and has no stains or tears, the fabric unzips from all the matresses/beds for easy washing.
One child sleeps across front seats in a specially made matress, the other two children sleep upstairs, and the two adults sleep in main bed - (205cm X 120cm)
I've slept upstairs - I am 6'2" and 14 stone - so fine for one large adult aswell.
The van interior is a no-nonense utilitarian design to stand up the rigours of small children in muddy clothes climbing and fiddling with everything, it's tough and rugged and stands up to abuse.
This van was professionally converted 5 years ago - to my specification, rock n' roll bed frame hand made by Condover Forge, VanX premium black out curtains all round.
All cabinets are jointed and made from 12mm birch plywood - easy if you ever need to replace anything. Swivel front seat, door tidy and swivel table from Kiravans.
The front double seat folds flat, it can take lengths of timber/piping in up to 3.7M long.
Slide window in rear
My family and I have have been down to the mediterranean for the previous four summers in Clive, we've been to down to The Lakes, Umbria, Lombardy, the Appenines and Tuscany in Italy, all over the Pyrenees on both sides of the border, Dordogne, the French Alps, Massif Central, Languedoc and the mediterranean and Atlantic coasts of France, and the Scottish highlands amd Lake District, and all over Wales. Only had one puncture in 48,000 miles, never let me down even when a thousand miles from home.
Drives and handles really well, no funny noises or rattling, doesn't idle too high or rev too high.

Bad Bits: bodywork isn't in the greatest condition - there's just one tiny bit of rust on the bottom corner of the sliding door, also the bit of plastic is missing from the inside sliding door handle mechanism, but this does not affect the function of the sliding door. There are parking dings on passenger door and rear tailgate.
