Another one from the landscape workshop in Turkey.
Many years ago the Christians in Cappadocia had to hide from persecution and they carved their houses and chuches in the soft sand stone. Often these places were well hidden inside mountains and difficult to enter.
Many of these houses and churches still exist now and make for good photography subjects.
We're used to seeing buildings built with rocks and bricks, but to see churches hewn out from a mountain is pretty spectacular.
