Still Water Hunter

The wading bird stands alone in a sheet of glass water so calm it feels more like sky than surface. Its long legs pierce the reflection, anchoring it between worlds, while the slender neck and sharp beak carve a quiet line of intent. This isn’t a casual stroll; this is a hunter at rest, a momentary pause in the endless calculus of survival.
