Surface Tension

The stillness of the water hides a predator’s patience. Only the ridged crown and ancient eyes of the alligator break the surface, a living fossil gliding through ripples that shimmer like brushed steel. The scene is pure tension calm on top, power beneath a reminder that Florida’s wetlands are never truly quiet. Every subtle movement of the water feels deliberate, every reflection a whisper of the creature’s stealth. This is the moment between awareness and action, captured before the strike, before the calm folds back into chaos.
