What does the couple who has everything they could possibly want give each other for Valentine's Day? Well, Brian and I decided to sponsor a cat at the local humane society. Basically, this means that we paid to get one of the cats vaccinated for the following: Feline Leukemia/FIV test, Feline Distemper Vaccination, Rabies Vaccination, Flea preventative, and Deworming. The package also included a microchip.
What good is sponsorship? Well, for starters, it makes it just that much easier to get the cat adopted, since her new family won't have to pay for all that stuff.
We wondered which, if any, of the cats at the humane society benefited from our sponsorship. Yesterday, we finally got this in the mail. Her name is Amber, just like my niece! It was great to finally have a name of the cat we had sponsored.
