Photograph taken in the mid 1970's on Slide Film. Camera used was a Beirette. This was one of my first photographs.
The East German made Beirette camera was sold by Boots the Chemists, next to those very sexy looking Italian Koroll-24 S cameras. The Beirette is another one of those cameras that is under estimated, being dismissed as crude, cheap and not particularily well made. In fact the opposite is the case, the lens gives a very impressive performance with an easy to use 'depth of field' scale. I have some wonderful photographs produced by this camera.
