Ceiling Plaster
The restored Detroit Opera House AKA Grand Circus Theater, and Capitol Theatre.
Designed by C.Howard Crane in Italian Renaissance style, opened in 1922. Seating 3,500, it was the 5th largest theater to open at that time.
After 1989, it had a 20 million dollar restoration.
It was built to show movies but C.Howard Crane forgot to add in the projection booth! It has one now up in a ceiling cove.
