White Pocket Reflection

I was very lucky to be able to do an overnight trip to White Pocket with David Swindler from ActionPhotoTours.com during my vacation in the US.

I was planning to do nightscapes and, as the weather was very rainy when we arrived, I was afraid that our trip would not be very productive.

Fortunately David immediately convinced me that the rain was a good thing, as there was not only a rainbow, lasting for almost an hour, but there were also many pools in unusual spots, allowing us to do reflection images, where it is normally not possible.

So we had great fun running from one pool to the next, shooting dozens of great images and I had the best photography teacher you can wish for.

After the rainy evening it eventually cleared at 2 am and I even got my nightscapes, before the clouds rolled in again at astronomical dawn, providing us with a colorful sunrise...

Perfect weather and timing! If you are in the area and need a guide or photography teacher, I can highly recommend David.

Now I have some very interesting processing work to do. Stay tuned!
