Io moon shadow transit on Jupiter
It has been about 8 years since I last did planetary imaging. But I thought to get back into it when Saturn was edge on with us giving 5 opportunities for capturing Titan transiting the planet which only occurs every 13 years. I bought a new planetary camera specially for this rare event. But I failed every time either due to my rusty skill or the weather. But I still need to try out my new camera and thought to capture "Io moon" transiting Jupiter as my first testing and planetary comeback venture. Still very rusty, I got a lot wrong with the capture, but at least I got something and seized a moment which my Astrophotography is all about, and so here I present an Io moon transit, but apologies for the below par quality given the potential of my gear!
I was also joined by my fellow skychasing friend who brought her smartscope pointed it at the sky and immediately caught two nebulas, Orion and a...fish! It got me thinking as we sat with our scopes chatting and quietly waiting in the night a few feet away from the local church, astronomy is very much like going fishing except we're fishing for planets, nebulas and galaxies in the great space lake above.

Telescope: Celestron Nexstar 8se
mount: Celestron Nexstar 8se (alt-az Goto)
Capture software: Sharpcap Pro
Filter: None (bad! should have put an IR/UV cut for better clarity and avoid purple cast)
Barlow: Televue Powermate 2.5x with Televue T-ring for shorter barrel and no tilt chain.
2 mins video at 10fps (again bad because I forgot to set the ROI so I was capturing 4k videos)
Post: Pipp to crop and track the planet. Autostackert to stack, AstroSurface for wavelet sharpening and RGB white balance, Affinity for final curves and levels.
