Oggi si pone l’esigenza di passare dal considerare le donne come “bene comune” e rifugio salvifico, al percepirle come soggetto dotato di capacità di lucidità teorica e di trasformazione della realtà. Gli uomini della decrescita oggi non danno l’impressione di volersi porre la questione dei rapporti di genere come problema politico centrale per definire la qualità dei processi di produzione e riproduzione che determinano le condizioni di sostenibilità di una buona vita.

La prima risorsa che il sistema sta sovrasfruttando è costituita proprio dal lavoro non pagato domestico e di cura delle donne. I dati raccolti con dettagliate inchieste sull'uso del tempo dagli Istituti Nazionali di Statistica ci dicono che il lavoro non pagato di riproduzione sociale (domestico e di cura) supera in quantità, il totale del lavoro pagato e che questa massa enorme di lavoro continua a pesare soprattutto sulle donne.

Questo accade anche nei sistemi di welfare moderni e, pur se in forma diversa, anche nei paesi del nord dell’Europa. Di questo non si può non tenere conto quando si vogliono proporre nuovi stili di vita, soprattutto se poi all’atto pratico questi vanno a pesare una volta di più sul tempo e le energie già esauste delle donne.

Si possono decantare le virtù dell’orto o dello yogurt fatto in casa; si può proporre di limitare l’uso della lavatrice e di tornare tutti insieme al lavatoio, come si può proporre di attraversare gli oceani in veliero, ma si ha il dovere di essere realisti e non chiudere la nostra immaginazione nel romanticismo di un ritorno al passato.

Tutto ciò è modificabile se nel “maschio” si trasformano cultura e modelli di vita vigenti!!!

This one can not be taken into account when you want to propose new ways of life, especially if they are then in practice to weigh once more the time and energy already exhausted women.

You can extolling the virtues of the garden or the homemade yogurt, you can propose to limit the use of the washing machine and come back together at the sink, as you can propose to cross oceans in sailing, but it has a duty to be realistic and not close our imagination in the romance of a return to the past.

All this can be changed if the "male" transform culture and ways of life force!
