SIM-CI at Opening Singularity University NL

On Thursday 2 June Her Majesty Queen Máxima opened SingularityU The Netherlands at the Innovation Hub amidst new technological applications including DIY drones, food scanners, self-driving cars, in-vitro meat, personal robots, nano-satellites, and VR solutions.

During the opening Igor van Gemert, founder of SIM-CI, demonstrated how VR simulations can be used to bolster Critical Infrastructures against all kind of risks utility networks face. Igor van Gemert: ” Our VR simulation platform is used to identify risks and workout mitigation scenario’s to prevent outage or damage to the utility networks. Using all sorts of big data, ranging from GIS data and satellite imagery to real time network data we can give network operators a true 360 degree perspective on what is going on in their network, identify vulnerabilities and predict the impact of events on other networks or network assets.”
