The Sunset Swimmer

Right-O, its time I put my love for this place into words. Its Corby crag, a little distance away from Alnwick in Northumberland. It may not be this biggest bit of rock to climb on but it has some of the most enjoyable routes that the county has to offer. The crag overlooks the Cheviots, making the perfect backdrop to an already beautiful landscape and its always so peaceful. But the best thing about this amazing, chilled out, magical tranquillity pad is the evening summer sun.

I've never been able to describe just how beautiful this place is on a summer evening and as I'm typing this, I still can't come up with the right words. As the sun goes down over the Cheviots, its an amazing sight in itself and at the same time, Corby is bathed in its warm golden glow.

Dreams don't even befall in places as vividly awe-inspiring as this. I'd rather be nowhere else doing nothing else.
