Splash

Today's shot came from an early morning bike ride this Saturday. I'm not really sure if it's the bitter cold that causes the huge waves on Chicago's shore. Perhaps it was the wind or the position of the moon. Nevertheless the waves were roaring and I decided to take the risk of trying to capture them. With my 14-24mm wide angle lens attached, I got up nice and close and shot away. After 20 or so minutes I figured I got my shot. I went back to my bag which had rolled up sideways against my bike on the Lake Shore Bike Path. I put my bag upright, and my rarely used fisheye lens popped slipped out of my bag and rolled up next to my feet as if to say "pick me". I decided I hadn't had enough, so I agreed and attached the fisheye to my camera and went right back up to the waves for a few more shots. A big one came, better than any I had seen with my wide angle, and I was left with the shot below...
