ABOUT PROJECTOR PROJECT

 

While Vermillion Gallery was between exhibits, its bare white walls offered themselves irresistibly as surfaces for a phantasmagoria of projections. There was no particular theme.

 

A dozen or so projectionists in various formats--slide, super8, 16mm, overhead, invented optical machines, digital, and even the lowly filmstrip--turned the blank white walls into an immersive improvisational cinematic experiment.
