Inner Peace
Cardboard, light bulb, (18" x 20" x 30"), 2012.
For Sculpture 2.
Made for the "Quest for Peace" exhibition, I researched a bit into peace and found that it's rarely ever achieved. Using cardboard I made a form with the metaphor that peace is a beautiful ideal. At the same time the interior has a light which is a symbol of peace, the spikes represent hardship. The light is visible but almost impossible to reach.
