Gray Card Maddness

I was digging around in the attic last night and ran across my gray card

in one of the miscellany boxes. Back in the day, when I shot medium and

large format, I used a spot meter and gray card for everything. Since

then, the most I'll do is use the center spot metering on my EOS and

lock it in. So just for giggles, I thought I would meter through the

EOS with the gray card and test... WOW technology sure has made me

sloppy. Here is and extreme examble of the difference in exposure with

and without.
