Loch Ness Monster
Loch Ness Monster
Heatherdowns, Scotland hamlet, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, VA
The Loch Ness Monster steel roller coaster was manufactured by Arrow Dynamics and opened in the Heatherdowns hamlet on June 2nd, 1978. It was the world's first roller coaster to have interlocking loops (and is the only one that still has 'em as well) and at the time of opening was said to be the world's tallest and fastest coaster, statistics that have obviously been topped since then.
In this shot, the train makes its' descent down the coaster's first drop above the Grimm's Landung bridge.
