Prospect is a little town in the southeast edge of the Adirondacks, just outside the park. It used to have two spurs, one on the north and the other on the south. The south spur had just one south-facing switch. The north one connected here at Prospect Junction, and had two switches, so it was connected in a wye.
On the left side of the photo is the main line of the Adirondack Branch. On the center and right side is the railbed of the Hinckley Reservoir branch.
