Midland Railway Transit Shed
High Orchard, Gloucester. The insignificant looking building between the yellow lorry and the silos is the former Midland Railway transit shed, built in 1867. It is an iron framed structure, clad in corrugated iron. Cast iron columns with moulded capitals are combined with wrought-iron trusses and a hipped slate roof. The building was given grade II listed status in 1998.

Despite its rich railway history, this is one of only about five railway buildings that survive in Gloucester from before the 1960s.
