Gurkha Protest

The Gurkhas are conducting a relay hunger strike in an attempt to persuade the British Government to allow them equal pensions, compensation, preserved pensions for the redundant, settlement rights in the UK for Gurkha children aged over 18 and free medical facilities in Nepal for Gurkha pensioners.
The relay strike is set to last 13 days in memory of the 13 Gurkha holders of the Victoria Cross. If Gurkha demands are not met, a full hunger strike to death will start on 7th November.
