Gambling on the weather not being as bad as forecast, today (07/02/2026) saw a return to the M4 bridge at Swindon to see how much coach traffic would come past bound for Twickenham where England were hosting Wales in their first Six Nations Rugby game of the season.
Well, in the four hours we were there, the answer was "virtually nothing"! The total for today was 126, up just 2 on the 124 that had come past at the same time two weeks ago.
Highlights on what proved to be a dry but cloudy day were various members from the Edwards selection box (including a rather shy Yutong GT14); a Wood Brothers Scania from Buckfastleigh; a Plaxton Premiere 350 (!!) from Goldstar Coaches of Northfleet; a trio of unmistakeable 'Jones the Bus' Tourismos; and a lesser-spotted Sitcar Beluga 3 from Brookman of Littleton Drew.
Another pleasant morning completed. And the weather gamble paid off!
