Today (17/01/2026) was a shakedown day for my 'motorway lens' and, after some careful position planning (it's still January remember!), I chose a favourite spot of mine at Swindon on the M4.
My fellow photter Pete Cook and I enjoyed 4 hours of chit chat while observing 124 coaches in some very favourable conditions for the time of year. And that's not including the many rail replacement coaches which were all going via Swindon itself thus avoiding our cameras.
Highlights from today include the lovely Edwards Red Dragon, a smart Berkeley Van Hool (what else?), the shed of the day Fire Cardiff minibus (no, me neither?), a rather nice Roselyn Irizar, and a Turners Ayats Horizon decker.
