One of the biggest rail replacement bus operations in the South for many years took place at Three Bridges, near Crawley, on Sunday 30th November 2025. The lines to Gatwick Airport, Brighton, Horsham and Lewes were all blocked which meant services were operated by buses and coaches from over 30 different operators who between them used well over 100 vehicles with a whopping 28 departures every hour! The day delivered a fantastic array of colourful livery schemes under a cloudless sky which, with just 3 weeks until the winter solstice, kept the assembled photographers on their toes looking for locations with minimal shadows. A thoroughly enjoyable day!
