Wilshire Gulf Gas Station Salinas,CA
Former Wilshire Gas Station located at 215 East Alisal St. in Salinas,CA. Gulf purchased the Wilshire brand and rebranded the gas stations under the Gulf name and thus dropped the Wilshire name althogether. This specific location was last branded under the Beacon name but looks to have recently closed. Its quite likely that the site which is showing some age will be demolished and the land redeveloped. Both Wilshire and Gulf used the boomerang canopies and many of these canopies remain to this day. All of which to my knowledge were built by Wilshire and a few by Gulf which continued with the same design.
