Lion Fish

Given its beautiful but highly venomous spines, the Lionfish need not worry about other predators on the reef. They all avoid it. And that leaves this invasive species -- one with a voracious appetite -- free to kill off populations of native reef fish throughout the Caribbean and the east-coast Atlantic waters of the U.S.
