Hamburger-Stand

Having a seat at the Hamburger Stand. They don't build them like this any more. The old style McDonald's Hamburger Stand where I grew up was demolished around 1971 and replaced with a McDonald's "restaurant". Before that if you went downtown, at the main corner, there was the red, white and yellow McDonald's on one side and an old Fashioned Jack in the Box ( with the giant clown head coming out of a box) on the other side. Downtown looked like an amusement park. McDonald's wasn't about to have any down time while the new restaurant was being built so they built it next to the hamburger stand. When it was finished they closed the hamburger stand and opened the restaurant. I was only six at the time but I know I took a photo of the two McDonald's ( old and new ) next to each other. I remember cleary having a difficult time framing the photo because of all the utility poles in front of the building. A comment was made that I was a natural photographer as I was walking up and down the road looking for the perfect shot. If I ever find the photo I will post it.
