Posing
As so often happens, this girl totally knew I was shooting her. What typically happens is once they see that I am photographing them, they either: A) Turn away in, which case I stop immediately and turn away also so as to not to cause any discomfort, or B) they go into posing mode, which is by far the most common reaction.
Once we've made that "connection", then the fun begins. And sometimes it's rather amazing how apparent it is that they are enjoying their little "photo shoot". : )
