Buddy Guy, John Mayall and Koko Taylor triple bill, 1991
In the sadly defunct Ontario Place Forum (now replaced by the Molson Amphitheatre), a covered venue with a rotating stage and additional outdoor seating on the grassy hillsides surrounding it. John Mayall (featuring Coco Montoya on guitar) was excellent, Koko Taylor sounded like her voice had a few thousand too many miles on it, and Buddy Guy was just annoying, playing little snippets of rock songs here and there, laughing about how he was "better than all those guys", then launching into a blues tune instead.
His band appeared to be a white teenage garage band - technically ok, but completely soul-less. The pianist was an attractive young blonde girl wearing a floral print sundress and looking completely out of place. Buddy Guy neither introduced, interacted with, nor acknowledged his band (or the other acts).
