Once a sclupture has been sanded smooth, it needs to be heated before applying the Cobra Wax......a clear bees wax-like polish. Smoke damage can happen to a open fired piece consequently a piece that has taken many hours of work could be irrevocably blemished, which reduces its value. Propane gas blowers are better but expensive.
