Rock surface shapes
Both the black (basalt) and white (quartz) parts of this rock are quite hard. This is part of the surface of one of the rough cut boulders piled on both sides of the cut between St. George Island and Little St. George. This kind of rock is not from this area, maybe it came from the mountains of Georgia or Alabama. These colors, although changed to black and white, are very close to how they looked to my eyes.
