Digital drawing done on an iPad Air with Pen & Ink app, based on part of a photo. Many of these lines were invented in obscured areas, dark shadows, and fuzzier parts of the photo. My guess is that this man was sitting on a bus or subway. His hand is on his knee partly to avoid contact with the man sitting on his right, who I've left out of my drawing (which is different from the photo also in other ways). Obviously a very amateur effort, but stll a interesting visual challenge for me to translate the photo clues into some sort of drawing. A more skillful drawing would probably give less attention to folds and wrinkles in fabric and flesh.
