Advanced sidebar + media dots

I believe this prototype never made the light of day, but it was built to show how a more sophisticated sidebar could help in constraining the number of elements to visualize on the map. By segmenting data through common attributes, we would allow the user to find the specific data points they were looking for.

 

I love the balance between a very methodic, data driven sidebar to a map that looks so cool with the Media Dots.
