Okyeon Jeongsa in Hahoe Village (South Korea)
The Okyeon Jeongsa was built in 1586 by Ryu Seong-ryong, a Chief State Councillor who served the Joseon Dynasty in the 16th Century. It is part of the Hahoe Folk Village (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) which is across the Nakdong River. This pavilion comprises several low-key buildings and a central courtyard, all of which blended beautifully with the surrounding forests. Today this place can be booked as traditional hanok homestay and is run by the descendants of the original founder.
