Representing Asia

Around the outer area of the memorial are four allegorical sculptures representing Europe, Asia, Africa and The Americas, each continent group including several ethnographic figures and a large animal.

The Asia group was created by Irish sculptor John Henry Foley, who was also responsible for the central bronze statue of Prince Albert.
