Tremesna - Osoblaha 1996

The last narrow gauge state railway in the Czech Republic runs from Tremesna to Osoblaha. The latter, by the way, is also a bit famous for his silly sounding German name of Hotzenplotz. I visited the railway in 1996 and made this picture of a "long" train comprising 2 coaches. This was due to pupils returning home from school in the afternoon, eventhough it was during the summer holiday season. The rest of the day only one coach was sufficient. The stream line shaped locomotive is an iconic class TU47 from the 1950s. Today, 2023, the railway is still in use, with the same (70 year old) rolling stock. See my 2023-pictures:
