What first drew my eye to this bit of creek bed above Kings River Falls were the shapes worn into the bedrock and the interesting pattern they made, and then as I began to look closer the scene began to separate itself into distinct planes, one layered on top of the other, from the submerged rocks on the creek bed to the ripples on the water's surface to the bedrock above and finally to the sky and clouds reflected in the water.
