Flickering Flame

Lately, I notice a change in my shots. What change precisely? I can't tell, but there is something different about the photos I posted lately.

 

Again, I salvage this shot from my old collection after I saw a couple of flower shots by Houser recently. I have never been good with capturing lightings correct first hand from the camera so I'll just have to make do with the exposure adjustments from Photoshop.
