A big boy's toy
Today was the Annual Classic Car Show at Pencoed, near Bridgend. As I haven't been for a few years I felt it was time to make a visit. The plan was simple, arrive early so I could photograph exhibits as they arrive and before the ground became too crowded. In practise, this was fine for commercial vehicles but the car sections were so close together it was almost impossible to be creative, especially with a wide angle bolted on the front!
I had some weird looks from the owner of the truck as I struggled to get a good angle without the toilet block, other exhibits and all the usual rally paraphenalia, sunshades, chairs and so on. The shadow of the owner and his son are just in the bottom right corner. I have done a little photoshop work here as you can see!
The weather was extremely hot and by lunch time I'd had enough, 700 cars and other attractions crammed into a site little larger than a football field is a little constraining photographically!
