This window shows the introductory page of St Matthew in the Lindisfarne Gospel Book. From the same book comes the ornate Chi Ro - the Incarnation. The style of these works is a fusion of Roman, Celtic and Anglo Saxon art. The background shows the oldest known text of St Matthews Gospel written in Greek.
