Padley Gorge birds 120424 - out at sunrise this morning to look for Pied Flycatchers - had only just walked through the gate into the woods when I heard one call. I saw 6 or so males, it seemed like there was some territory issues as one bird would start calling from a perch another would fly at it and chase it away into the woods. One nest box appeared to have a settled pair that were visiting the box in turn but not carrying nesting materials or food.
