Plastic Pollution at the Wellawatte Beach in Colombo

Despite frequent beach clean-ups and bold murals urging us the need to protect the ocean, Wellawatte Beach has once again been overwhelmed by plastic waste. The monsoon rains have washed ashore quite a large amount of bottles and trash, a stark reminder that awareness alone isn’t enough. The messages are loud on the walls, but the shore tells another story. 🌊😔
