The Narrows Chamber

There really isn't much difference in the natural color of the walls in this canyon. The apparent difference springs from the light that shines on it. The bluish rock on the left is in shade, as is the canyon wall directly opposite it. Although the section in the center and right of this shot are under an overhang, the opposite wall catches the afternoon sunlight and reflects it, lighting it up a strong orange color.
