Wandering around mountains in winter has its risks and rewards which is great if you are prepared. As a rule i always carry a first aid kit, shock blanket, food or barley sugars with wet and keep warm gear but also importantly a PLB or personal locator beacon. It just makes me scratch my head when in conditions such as this when it can turn into a blizzard you still get people wearing jeans and light clothing. Jeans are a no no as when they get wet they don't dry out and make you cold...the big enemy. So whats the answer to that. Education i suppose such as this little rant...
Ok rant over but it does annoy me let alone the people who have to go fetch the ones who get themselves into strife. Big cheers to the rescue guys and gals...
