Sacramento River
It is peaceful walking along the river walking and bike paths that follow the Sacramento and American Rivers. You walk on the levee which protects the city from flooding. There is not a lot of boat traffic and its a quiet feeling like the midwest. There is good fishing here and a great place to watch for birds too. Winter nights are mostly mild in north central California. Enjoy the colors, turn off the phone or music and enjoy the natural sounds we were born to hear.
