H.G. Gobbi in Taking it's place: a history of Oakleigh (page 26) notes:
"John Walker privately surveyed and subdivided Section 44 for Collings into eight-one allotments, which he titled "Upper Oakleigh". The streets of the subdivision recorded the owner's family members: Mary, Jull, Collings and Westbrook... Only the name Westbrook raimains: Jull Street is now Newton Street, Collings Street is now Drummond Street north, Mary Street is now Rae Street."
