I drink a lot of coffee. And I usually get it in Portland. Over time, I've realized that no matter what cafe I walk into, regardless of the date and time, Niko Johnstone will probably be there, sitting off in the corner, ruminating on the mysteries of life. Or something like that. It's come to the point where I think there are multiple Niko Johnstones populating cafes around Portland; and they all congregate around midnight (at Denny's, because it's the only place open by then), and trade notes about the liberal/arts/coffee scene around Portland. That's my theory.
