Mmmm... fruity...
... Tonight though, with the 3 remnant plums starting to look a tad dodgy, I threw caution to the wind. I stewed them up (with three apples, etc. as previously described), then proceeded to adapt/reinvent a recipe we had at djelibeybi's sister's place over Christmas, which was a mince streusel slice. I really don't much care for mince of the Christmas variety (all that peel and sultana... blech blech), but the combination was actually pretty good. So I thought I'd give it a go.
I squished out (we don't have a rolling pin) a packet of bought sweet shortcrust pastry into our pizza tray (we don't have a proper oven tray), then spread the stewed fruit over it...
