This past weekend was incredible up in Big Sur. After a pretty stressful week I just decided to make a solo mission and hit a few of my favorite spots.
Garrapata State Park in North Big Sur is a MUST. I've never been there at such low tide and was able to get down to some of the dodgier spots--plenty coming from sunset there!
On my way down south towards my campsite I couldn't resist stopping at Bixby Bridge for some car light trails. I'd never tried this angle and really wish I had a taller tripod. I squeezed the legs together on my tripod to make it as tall as I could without worrying about the wind bursts from the speeding cars knocking over my.....life savings.
It took me a few tries to pull focus but after grabbing this shot I felt it was OK to call it a day.
A beer and 8:00 bedtime made it simple to get up to be at Pfeiffer Beach by 4AM the next morning...and that was a morning I'll never forget.
