9016 'Gordon Highlander' heads towards Featherstone at 15:35 on 30th January 1972 with the diverted 1A28 14:50 Leeds-London Kings Cross.
After this the following diverted trains passed through: 9018 passed at 16:55 with 1L16 to Leeds,1109 passed at 17:33 with 1A31 to London,1862 made its way back to London at 18:30 at the head of 1A33 from Leeds,at 18:53 1542 passed working 1L22 to Leeds,19:18 saw the DMU heading for Doncaster once again,9018 then made its way back south at 19:55 at the head of 1A35,at 20:40 1111 passed working 1L33 from London to Leeds,at 21:21 the DMU returned to Leeds whilst the final diverted working passed at 21:50 in the form of 1990 working 1L37 to Leeds.
A big day of diversions I am sure you will agree!!
