The kid's been sick (she is doing much better now though, thanks) and at 04:13 on Wednesday, the beloved Bubba the bunny came into contact with [ redacted bodily fluid ] and was recalled from active duty while decontamination protocols were executed.
The backup bunny www.flickr.com/photos/mapgoblin/164886688/ was promptly called into service. The kid is none the wiser, but check out the difference that two years in a closet makes vs. two years in active duty. Hunched shoulders, droppy ears, burred fur. Time to rotate them.
